St. Lawrence Market
The historically rich St. Lawrence Market area is home to some of the most interesting architecture in the city, including the famous Flatiron building. The Market itself (voted one of the best urban markets in North America) attracts tourists as well as local shoppers who enjoy the old-fashioned atmosphere and farm-fresh produce.
The St Lawrence Market area also encompasses the Furniture District, with its range of antique and ultra-modern furniture retailers and the hip Distillery District, a national historic site which now houses galleries, boutiques, restaurants and jazz clubs. Urban downtown living is easy here, thanks to an abundance of upscale and well-managed condominiums, conveniently accessible by TTC.
The area is bounded by Front St to the north, the Canadian National railway embankment to the south, Yonge Street to the east and Parliament Street to the west.
- Classic architecture from the early Port of Toronto
- Historic buildings maintained and preserved in exciting new developments
- Great walking area with unique shopping, dining and entertainment
- "Postcard" views to Lake Ontario and Toronto Island
- Well established urban area with significant growth potential
